We may schedule another cheesemaking workshop if we have enough people interested.   When we get 8 people on the list I will schedule another one.

We have had so many requests for just a cheese making class that we decided to change our workshops a bit.  We will still offer the full milking and cheese making class but we will also offer a cheese making class alone.  See below the details for each workshop and what each offers.

Cheese Making Workshop

This class will give you the basics for making any fresh or aged cheese.  We will discuss the different cultures and why and how they are used for different cheeses

Class begins at 9:00 A.M. ends around 12;00 noon

During this workshop we will be making:

Cuajada a very simple cheese that can be used as a savory cheese or a dessert cheese made from fresh Jersey milk

Mozzarella a quick and easy version of everyones favorite made from goat milk.

Ricotta from the whey left from making the mozzarella

Gouda a washed curd aged cheese from Jersey milk

During the class everyone will have the opportunity to sample a wide array of cheeses that are made right here on the farm


Hands on Milking and Cheese Making Workshop

Class begins at 7:00 A.M. and ends around 12:00 noon

This class will give the participants the opportunity to learn how to milk a goat and a cow.

Instruction on assembling milking equipment

Cleaning and care of milking equipment

Breakfast at 7:00 A.M.

Fresh hot coffee with fresh cream

Orange juice and Pineapple juice

All the fresh cows milk or goat milk you want to drink

French toast casserole with pure maple syrup drizzled on top garnished with fresh fruit

After the cheese making portion homemade goat milk vanilla ice cream with hot fudge sauce
